Wendy Abramenko is a licensed Denturist originally from the small town of Almonte, Ontario, Canada. She grew up on a farm that raises beef cattle and operates a Maple sugar bush seasonally. She loves animals and has two dalmatian dogs that you can often see out for walks around the Grande Prairie Community. She has a passion for hockey playing weekly all-year-round as well as sponsors hockey programs within the Grande Prairie Community. When she is not cheering on her favourite hockey team, enjoying the outdoors, or travelling, she is very busy with creating smiles for those in need:)
Wendy completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Ontario attending both Brock University and Carleton University prior to moving across Canada to complete the Denturist program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). During her studies, she received the Barbara Hanson Scholarship, the ACAC Academic Athletic Award, the CCAA National Scholar Award, as well as Dean's Honour Roll. She had her first exposure to the mobile denture business while interning in Edmonton. When she graduated from the Denturist program, she moved to Grande Prairie and began her career as a Denturist. She is licensed to practice Denturism in Alberta, Canada and is a member of the National Denturist Association, The College of Alberta Denturists, and The Alberta Denturist Association.
Wendy has been servicing the Grande Prairie community for over 8 years to date. She found that during her time as a Denturist, there were often requests to service patients outside of the clinical setting. The reasons varied from being physically unable to make it into the clinic, specific medical conditions, lack of transportation, weather conditions, or not being able to take the time off work to come in for appointments. She wanted to provide a service that would accommodate all patients individual needs and thus the GP Mobile Denture Service was created! GP Mobile Denture Services offers a unique opportunity to serve those that require flexible appointment times, have issues with mobility or leaving their homes, need emergency visits, or have specific medical conditions (dementia, assisted living conditions, hospitalization etc.). All the work is completed with great care between the patients location and the laboratory! She hopes this newly added service will meet the demands and offer more convenience for the folks living in the community of Grande Prairie and the surrounding areas.
